Magnetic Particle Testing (MPI)

Magnetic Particles Testing is used for the inspection of ferromagnetic materials in the detection of surface and near-surface defects. In this method, the material is magnetized by a constant or electromagnetic yoke, then iron particles is sprayed to the surface, the iron particles fill the imperfections so, they can be seen visually.
